Notification of Ultimate Beneficial Owners
All companies registered in the Commercial Register are required to provide information about their ultimate beneficial owners. This measure is an important step towards increasing transparency and ensuring trust in the business environment. The notification of ultimate beneficial owners must be submitted no later than October 31, 2018.
Additionally, for new companies established after August 31, 2018, information about ultimate beneficial owners must be submitted together with the application for registration in the Commercial Register. This means that when a company is established, the ultimate beneficial owners must be clearly identified from the start.
Submitting this information is mandatory. Accurate and timely submission helps avoid potential sanctions and ensures the proper legal functioning of the company in the Estonian Commercial Register.
